COACH & ACCOMPANIST
At the age of nine Temirzhan Yerzhanov attended his first opera, Prince Igor, and has been irresistibly drawn ever since to the sound of the human voice. During his Moscow Conservatory years, early memories of the great mezzo Elena Obraztsova led him to the class of her longtime partner, Professor Vazha Chachava. Watching the master at work with outstanding singers, working himself with fellow students now risen to fame, and attending countless opera performances at the world's leading opera houses all contributed to his fund of experience in coaching and accompanying them in concert. He was proud to receive Best Accompanist Prizes at both the XI Tchaikovsky International Singers Competition in Moscow, 1998 and at the First Elena Obraztsova Opera Singers International Competition in S-Petersburg, 1999.
